My Pets by C. Gómez (2A)

At present, I haven´t got my own pets but one time, I had a dog, but I couldn´t have it in my home so he was alone in my grandparents´ home. Then, a friend gave me a goldfish as a present but two months later, it died. I always have wanted to have a cat as a pet, but I think that it´s very hard to live in a house with an animal, because it can destroy everthing or disturb, because of, I think that if you lived in a house in a city, it would be very difficult for you to have a pet.
I said before that I haven´t got pets, but I own some pets, because my father has two kind of pets: five chicken, one cock and eight partridges. The chickens are in my grandparents´ home in Baños de Graena, a village near Purullena; two are brown, one grey, one black and my favourite is “pescuezo pelao” which is a kind of chicken which hasn´t feathers in its neck. Furthermore, my father has his partridges; he loves and looks after them; then, he uses them to go hunting.

When I was a little girl I had a beautiful puppy, but it was a sad story. It died tragically. I have always had pets, although I have sometimes had problems with some of them. Now I have five pets: an orange-blue goldfish, a white cat, a brown dog, a green snake and a little grey rabbit. It's a very calm fish and it moves slowly in its goldfish bowl.
My white cat has been ill, because it ate poisonous food. It is always near me and it hates being bathed. If it goes out my dog doesn't stop barking all the time. They're never going to be good friends. The snake is quiet although it has a cold stare, so it is more dangerous than my dog. In the end my favourite pet is the grey rabbit. It runs and jumps. Also, it looks like its mother, but it is funny like its father. It usually eats carrots and drinks water. It is the most quiet of my pets.
I'm never going to have a mouse, because they are fast and I'm afraid of them, I have mice-phobia.If I have a mouse I will die of fright. Anyhow a pet is always a good friend.

Have you ever had any pets? I have always had some pets. I have got some pets but some pet´s don´t live mith me.I have got a rabbit and his name is John because this name is the best for him. Sometimes I pick him and I leave him in my kitchen because he loves walking on the tables and chairs. Likewise he is smaller than my cat. However, they look like good friends because twice a week the play toguether. Moreover, If I have money I will buy other rabbit one day.In my farm I have got a dog and a horse. Both are friendly so everyday I go walking on the mountain with my dog, Therefore, I go riding twice a week, If I didn´t have my dog I wouldn´t be as happier because I love my dog. I think everybody should have a pet because If there is a pet in your life you will be the happiest person in the world.

My favourite pets are dogs, birds and fish. Why?, because they are very nice for me. There are a lot of kind of pets, but each person identifies with a pet. Pets are always with you, and you only have to give them good food and drink, and a some love.

My dog is nervous, because he likes to play with me. He always protects my house and me. He is five years old, and his colour is white and black. His breed is a Bulldog France. I am very happy with him. His name is Coco.

My bird. He is the kind of bird that you can see in all towns in Andalucia. It is a ¨colorin¨. He is a mountain bird, but people usually catch this bird as a sport, and they do competitions whit it. This bird has a lot of colours, black, white, yelow, red and brown. It only eats special food and drinks water. It is very beautiful and it relaxes me to hear his chirping.

Finally, the fish. I like this kind of pet a lot, but I have never had one. I think that I will have a fish in my house one day. If I pass the english exam I will buy a wonderful aquarium. Moreover, I would buy a lot of nice fish. In my opinion, an aquarium is very relaxing and it is good to decorate a house.

What pet do you have?

Firstly I have to say that I adore animals although I can't stand insects. I have a female dog, its name is Pumuka. It's very small and I love it. I always take it for a walk three times a day. My boyfriend has a dog, too. It's a male dog. It isn't as beautiful as mine. His dog is bigger and fonder than my dog. However my dog is more playful than his dog. I love it, too. I always look after them during the afternoons when I don't have English classes. Indeed his dog is like if was mine. My sister had a dog, too. I looked after it until a big dog bit it and it died one month ago. My sister didn't stop crying when this happened. Her dog was the cleverest dog I've ever seen. I also have two turtles. If I had been able, I would have studied to be a vet, because I love taking care animals.
Finally, I wouldn't mind to have my house full of pets but my mother doesn't want this.

Animals by Lorena Torres

Animals in captivity or in freedom? This is the question, because thousands of animals disappear every year in the world. I think that the human activity accelerates the disappearance of wildlife.
Nowadays, the endangered animals are the giant Panda, the Rhinoceros, the Sea Turtles and the Tigers and the national ones are the Iberian Lynx, the Imperial Eagle and the Grizzly Bear.
The Imperial Eagle is the most beautiful bird in the world. It´s more chic than the Rhino. However, the Iberian Lynx is more wonderful than any cat, tiger or leopard.
If we were more consistent with our actions the animals would survive more. Many animals are in captivity to avoid their disappearance. These measures help these animals to reproduce in captivity and prevent humans to hunt them. Have you ever see an Imperial Eagle? I have seen an Imperial Eagle in my village, near the mountain. There are two eagles couples.
Finally, people have to be more careful with all animals, for example hunt less, do not make experiments with then, do not do trafficking with them and respect their freedom.
